Cuomo’s lawyers just proved he has no credible defense
Gov. Andrew Cuomo hasn’t been seen since state Attorney General Tish James’ damning report dropped Tuesday, but he sent his lawyers — and anonymous advisers — to make the case that not one of the 11 women who’ve accused him of sexual harassment (yup, not one!) can be believed.
It’s unconvincing. Rather than refute the allegations, Cuomo’s shills are attacking his accusers and investigators and claiming the gov didn’t get a chance to respond — despite 11 hours of testimony in which he gave his side of the story.
Late Friday afternoon, Cuomo’s lawyers held a virtual press conference insisting the gov “was ambushed” by a “predetermined” investigation.
“He is 63 years old. He has been in public life for four decades,” Rita Glavin groused. “For him to be all of a sudden accused of sexual assault by an executive assistant he doesn’t really know doesn’t pass muster.”
Then there’s the ridiculous defense anonymous advisers are offering up: “This is the first sex scandal in history in which there wasn’t any sex,” one told New York magazine. “I am sorry that all of these women felt awkward and felt like something was going to happen, but nothing actually did.”

I wished I had thought to take a pic but, my wife and a couple of her friends went to two different community wide garage sales today. I resurrected my “ cuomo’s gotta go “ stamp and proceeded to stamp two hundred dollars in, 5’s , 10’s and 20’s and said have a good time. She came back with about $60.

I do not believe all the accusations, just because it’s easy to say whatever...I do believe at least some are accurate, and the creepy pics lend credence to that. He follows in the footsteps of many “almighty” men before him.
It’s too bad his career isn’t shot because New Yorkers woke up, but this is fine. I have no sympathy for him at all. I just don’t believe he is a good person and shouldn’t be governor.

He doesn’t get to decide that now. If he had resigned earlier this claim would have never been filed. She didn’t want to from what I had heard and understood. I think she only filed the claim with the police because of how asshole was acting.
I do not think criminal charges will ever be filed actually regardless of what he’s negotiating or not. You need evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt. It’s her word against his. The DA won’t bother unless he’s trying to prove a point that he’s not pulling favors.
