Aimpoint vs. Trijicon

Hey guys, looking for advice from more experienced people. I’m looking to get an RDS, looking at an Comp M4 or MRO. I’m leaning toward an MRO, but I can get an M4 for a similar price used. Main concern is HD/SHTF. Any help is appreciated

Not on your list, but check out the holosun hs510c. I'm not alone in thinking it's one of the best red dots out for the price now.

I have no experience with Trijicon but I do have an Aimpoint PRO. The dot is pinpoint crisp and the glass is crystal clear. I have had it for a few years now and have not had any problems with it.

I have an Aimpoint micro and love it. I've shot an ACOG before, but that's my only Trijicon experience

I would’ve liked an Aimpoint T2, but I was just able to get an new MRO with a LaRue mount for a little more than half half of a used T2 without a high mount

Any red dot that holds zero and batteries last a few years is just as good as any other. With both eyes open, you can't tell the difference with glass clarity in my experience.

That’s a very good point. Sometimes having too many options is a bad thing.

The M4 is a bigger heavier full size red dot. The MRO is a smaller and lighter mini dot. I would go for the smaller optic. Also would strongly consider the Holosun offerings that offer similar performance and a reduced price compared to the MRO. The MRO has a very pronounced blue tint to it if that is a concern.
