What’s especially galling about Baldwin trying to shift blame to the AD or the young, inexperienced armorer even though he randomly pointed the gun and pulled the trigger without checking it, is that this was his film and he was ultimately responsible for hiring, firing and managing everyone involved, so he is ultimately responsible for them too, including cheaping out on the armorer and safety. The fact that there was a walkout for safety that very day after TWO negligent discharges told Alec loud and clear that he had created an extremely unsafe situation. Have you ever heard of a film crew walking out because of guns going off? Baldwin was responsible for handling that. And THEN this happens? He should be charged with manslaughter.

Alec Baldwin directly did not allow the armorer to do her job by insisting that she hand off a gun to someone else to bring it to him. Someone allowed crew to use set weapons for target shooting fun times which allowed for loss of control over the weapons and introducing live ammo into the set. Baldwin is ultimately responsible for everything that happens on set, including policies, procedures and safety. The dead woman cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was working on a documentary film about pedophile rings. Baldwin directly and individually killed Halyna by pointing a single action revolver directly at her that he knew was loaded but assumed or claimed was loaded with blanks, cocking it and pulling the trigger whether he remembers all of the actions in that sequence or not (the gun was tested and it functioned correctly). He claims that he was practicing a cross draw, but did not practice at the appropriate time or place in a safe way as it's his responsibility to do to be prepared to perform in a safe way. It's a short flight from Little Rock to Santa Fe, so accidental on purpose Arkancide is a real possibility given those using pedophile rings that don't want it in the public eye as a lot of money and influence is at stake, not to mention jail time. This is true. I do think the armorer should have quit; that’s a lot to put on a 24-year-old but that would have been the right thing to do. The AD is also experienced enough to know better and is secondarily responsible. But clearly the primary fault here lies on the man who pulled the trigger, was running the show, and who had a career in show business going back to the eighties. The media falling over itself to make this a tragic accident and Alec a victim is nearly as disgusting as his behavior.
