She ran against the Queens Democratic party boss who had been in that seat forever. She was a huge underdog. He had the support of the entire national party and he outspent her by millions.

Maybe in the primary, but it's quite clear she didn't get there on merit either. There were obviously some serious back room politics at play.
Why she was chosen to be the one to outst him I can't say, but I can tell you for sure the general voters in her district had about as much say in it as the North Koreans do in theirs.
My argument against government run national health care is do you want the same boobs at the VA clinics who let veterans die of cancer before they could get an appointment to diagnosis it running health care for the rest of the country? I certainly don’t.
The VAs unofficial motto was giving Vets another chance to die for their country. I will never got to a VA hospital and prefer to stay far away from Military Medical clinics even though they don’t cost me anything to go to them. The medical clinics/hospitals overseas were great at keeping you alive if you were wounded but other than that no thanks.

Wait.... you actually think "cancelling student debt" (which actually means having the taxpayers pay for someone's irresponsibility) is a good thing?
And don't trot out the inaccurate "bridges are paid for by taxpayers" crap. That's a false comparison. Bridges actually DO help society. Paying off the college debt of some lazy person who didn't realize life was hard does nothing to help society, and only drives up the costs of a college degree.
It's like printing money. If a government just prints more money to try to cover its expenses, then eventually that money becomes worth less and less.
AOC actively works against our Rights, actively works FOR people who are in this country illegally, actively works to try to change America into a socialist nation (and i mean full on socialist like China, not "bridges are socialist" crap), stages fake photo ops in empty parking lots with her crocodile tears over policies that were actually enacted by people like her (Democrats/Leftists), and demonstrates an overwhelming "me first" attitude in everything she does ("people who don't like me just want to date me").
Like most leftists, she thinks rules are for others, not herself (not masking up in public when they require everyone else to do so).
All-in-all, I've yet to see a single thing she has done that is honorable or worth supporting.
If you like her, good for you. I hope you are happy. But you will not be able to convince me she is worth the oxygen she wastes with every word she utters.

Personally I believe she was backed by big player in the extreme left during her primary run and the incumbent was lazy, didn’t take her seriously and then was tossed out on his ass. I am not against tossing incumbents out on their ass. I wish it would happen more often.
In AOCs district she only has to worry about a primary because the general elections are in the bag. Her district is almost all democrat so it is no contest.
The media made her their darling otherwise we would not know her name. She is on the extreme left and that is why she will always be a mouth piece instead of a player.

They ordered what healthcare the public could have! Thats not socialism, it's communist rule.
The only people I have heard suggesting not giving health care to anyone was left leaning on the political spectrum. Which is another reason to steer away from government run health care. Anytime you hear calls to restrict services or employment to a group of people for their political/ religious/ individual liberty stance it is a dangerous thing and one that should be denounced as soon as it comes to light.

What are the political leaning of the people in the administration of those hospitals? Those are the people who will be running a national government healthcare system. If they can get away with it in a competitive private sector it will become the model in a public sector monopoly.
