I doubt there is any FFL that can comply with all the regulations to operate their business. As an example, they must have a security camera showing the door from the inside and outside 24 hours a day and recordings kept for 2 years. After contacting their security people, a friend of mine told me that they have no suck equipment or a way of downloading the video to an external source. That alone could be a reason for the state to shut him down not to mention all the other regulations that are difficult or impossible to comply with.
My question to all of you is, have you emailed, called or made your opinions known to your elected officials? I know many will say it will do no good so our anger will just fade away in time just as it has with the original safe act. Frankly every FFL I have talked to has said they are tired of being the ones complained to as they have no say or can't do anything about it. So, instead of harping at your FFL, which does nothing, call or flood the governor's office with emails. Your FFL is on your side and doesn't deserve to be the target of anger as they have to commit to a greater monetary way to keep the stores open and you all know who will ultimately bear the cost of that.
That's my rant, take it any way you want.

He calls himself far right on these issues. He doesn’t even have his staffers bother sending me a “thanks for your email,” any more. I am always polite, professional, unemotional, factual and concise. He is invisible. So yeah, it falls on deaf ears.

I am still miffed that they want to know your occupation. What does that have to do with anything? What if you are unemployed, or have never held a job?
Why stop at SS, dob and address? I'm not applying for a car loan. Why not height, weight, eye color and place of birth? Not that I expect them to make sense in what they do but they could have kept everything on the downlow, just used drivers license numbers and had all the same information in their little database. One LE agency could not buy ammo at the shop due to the delay. This agency had to go back to their HQ to retrieve ammo.​ ​ It is possible that the system is overwhelmed and/or there are not enough examiners. My senator responds every time that I email him. He is a staunch 2A supporter and as active as possible in trying to combat this ridiculous shit. Unfortunately ny is dominated by political socialist cucks that makes his efforts an extreme up hill battle.

The directions for the system are WRONG! Lots of incorrect information. Does that surprise me, no. I wonder how much the assholes were paid that wrote the directions.

The long gun check I did, have to provide:
Make, Model and SERIAL NUMBER. semi-auto. In addition to name, Soc Security Number, street address, BD, height, weight and occupation. Did you have any doubt this was a registry? I have had people tell me they did not believe it was. Well, IT IS!!

I have a lady on delay for a box of freaking shotshell. She said she has never done anything, doesn't even have a ticket.

That arrogant freeze faced witch was back touting her red flag laws today. I would like to know how many gaurds she has and what they carry.

I am going to say this and some of you have heard me say this in the shop. I have met a few thousand people doing this and by far the majority are OK people. Why the hell are we being watched and micromanaged? Why is there so much time and money being put into putting us under a microscope? I HATE sending in information that should be private. Remember when there was the attempt a few years ago to put out all CC info? Name and addresses. How long before the long gun info gets put out? I have tried to gear myself to this but haven't suceeded. If it would do any good I would go cry. (I have never figured out why girls cry when really mad but here I am.)

I watched a friend get delayed on a gun and ammo yesterday. Went back today and bought 2 boxes of bird shot and got a proceed but the prior days purchase is still delayed. I feel the pain right along with you.

As soon as my nearest favorite FFL gets registered with NYSNICS I’ll be picking up some bulk ammo. He still can’t get registered- NYSNICS said his license is expired. Trust me, it is most definitely not. I’ve seen it with my own two eyes. Gotta love it.

They don't care if you buy in NY - in fact, that's exactly what they want. It's a win-win for NYS. If you buy in NY, they make your life miserable, tax you and document you. If you don't buy well then they're keeping NY safe for the criminals while taking business from the NY FFLs. It's a masterful plan.
For us, it's a zero-sum game.

Possibly he could call the NY number, 1-877-697-6427 if he hasn't. This is such a severe cluster. DS told me I would probably get flagged after my call yesterday. I think calls to legislative reps, too.
If he is a member of NSSF, they sent an email asking for issues. I sent one.

I am sure their form for ammo information can be updated fairly easy. That will be important when they start doin BGC for reloading components. After all criminals can now reload their own ammo and that cannot be tolerated!
