They do run free shipping on bulk purchases for a lot of ammo types though. That can make the difference. SG Ammo is my go to place (no they don't ship to NY, sorry) but sometimes the free shipping leaves the order a bit cheaper despite the higher per round cost. I wish their pricing wasn't so erratic though.

I have family in PA. Was thinking about putting together a large order and shipping to them. Any issues with this?
No. Unless you lived in Kali. The seller may take issue with a billing address in NY and a shipping address in PA.

not sure if I've heard of anybody being charged or convicted for receiving or shipping ammo under the SAFE act.. Seeing the state didn't hold up their end with ammo background checks, there must be plenty of holes on that end of their law for any lawyer to play with..

Yeah, I get that and I get it that the retailer would likely be the target (no pun intended) of New York's clutches, but we all know how risky things are with the rule written on all of our NY Licenses, "Revokable at any time". I tread very lightly so when the time comes I WILL exercise my 2nd Amendments in a "free" state, where they can unload a pallet of ammo in front of my garage!

Actually no... There is no provision for ammunition forfeiture per illegal sales, how would the State prove which boxes of ammo was the ones ordered "illegally"??? They have a hard time sorting through my stock! Would be akin to violating V&T law and having all your vehicles confiscated, not happening!
I'm constantly refraining from posting in these threads largely because the OP's are too lazy to use the search function! Adding to that is the feed the troll mentality, whereas even purchasing from a vendor who is lazy about NY laws and therefore will sell you ammo if you use an FFL - is promoted while not being required legally in NY until, per the Safe Act, the State Police have the database up & running and have provided notice of such! 5 years and without much effort, they got what they want. No, not restricting sales to those who shouldn't have it, just a major restriction of sales across states lines which they can't (track), an sales in general. What utter BS!
Support those who support us!... So what if TS is a few pennies per round higher, they deserve it! And that includes retailers that ask for your permit to approve a sale, fuck them too! Why would you give them your $? Let their ammo collect dust! I dont get it...
