And you think that'll help how? As a volunteer, is Edward going to single-handedly take control of the lawsuits?By all means volunteer and make it better.
You're right. Just standing around with your hands in your pockets is much more effective. And you think that'll help how? As a volunteer, is Edward going to single-handedly take control of the lawsuits?
I hate when people say things like this.
Correct. Equally as effective. You're right. Just standing around with your hands in your pockets is much more effective.
It'll never make it to SCOTUS, they'll simply refuse to hear the case. The circuit court wont even help us.NYC bans people from taking their guns out of the city?!?! There's no fucking way that could pass review at the Supreme Court. What are you supposed to do if you move out of the city, anyway? Sell you guns first? Bullshit.
I don't envy New Yorkers.
So what's the answer?Correct. Equally as effective.
The courts aren't going to do us any good, no legal means is going to change our laws here. How many millions have been spent already fighting these BS laws? The State has unlimited funds and time, like it or not we are paying der fuhrer's defense fund. Add to that the number of Conservatives who have, and are moving, because they have no viable future here. This state is done. It's already turned to shit.So what's the answer?
I've got what amounts to a life sentence here in NY - unless something unforeseen happens, I'm likely going to be here for the next 15 -20 years. I'm not one to sit back and watch things turn to shit and not try to make things better.
In your opinion, what should New Yorkers who don't have an escape plan be doing to try and contain the damage, if not make things better here?
There are only 3 things you can do.So what's the answer?

There are only 3 things you can do.
1. Take it and comply.
2. Move out.
3. Gather thousands of people like you and take up arms. That wouldn't work either unless you are okay with using those arms against politicians and law enforcement who protect them and even if you successfully do that, than you'd have to deal with the Feds for the crimes they'll say you committed.
Those are the only 3 choices and the third one is far fetched with almost a zero chance of being successful. So that just really leaves 2 choices. Writing letters and making phone calls does nothing. Donating money to these organizations also does nothing.
And then there's NY.....Used to be that writing letters and making phone calls and fighting in the courts did nothing to stop the Jim Crow laws and segregation. But then one day it worked anyway. Never give in to despair. There's always hope for a better future.
That would only work in a purple state where your vote counts. It doesn't work in solid blue states.Used to be that writing letters and making phone calls and fighting in the courts did nothing to stop the Jim Crow laws and segregation. But then one day it worked anyway. Never give in to despair. There's always hope for a better future.
Cuomo has appointed every appellate judge in nys at this point. Damn right they won’t help. It'll never make it to SCOTUS, they'll simply refuse to hear the case. The circuit court wont even help us.
The objective of NY politicians is to drive each and every Conservative and true Republican out of NY for good. That way they can have their socialist utopia.
Don't envy us NY'ers? Just wait till after the first of the year. Shit's gonna get worse.
Sure I agree with that, but saying black folks are not 100% human or citizens is different from the right to own a gun. Listen to these liberals they don’t think we matter. Sure people said the same about black folks, but I think this is different. Maybe it will change maybe it won’t. Time will tell. I know they say the generation after the millennials is the most conservative, but my kids are in that generation and I don’t see it. What my son tells me boils my blood. They have patriotic day at school and only a handful of kids wear a flag themed shirt. Not a good sign.Used to be that writing letters and making phone calls and fighting in the courts did nothing to stop the Jim Crow laws and segregation. But then one day it worked anyway. Never give in to despair. There's always hope for a better future.
Give me the money NYSRPA rakes in and I'll "volunteer" and do nothing as a full time job.By all means volunteer and make it better.
Just a question, Is a NYC premise permit/carry permit a NYS premise permit/carry permit? I kind of thought they were total for NYC only.
A law student is going after NYC harder then these tools who are funded by membership dues. Fucking Joke. We have multiple Hawaii, Chicago, DC, decisions that set up shale issue carry across the country but allowing premise holders to leave the city is some how priority. Way too grab that low hanging fruit.
"Shale issue"? Sure, why not! Give me some shale and I'll set up a fracking operation and make a ton of money!
Not ragging on your spelling. I'm a terrible typist, myself. I just liked the image of the government issuing shale to people. It tickled my funny bone.My Bad "Shall" glad you pointed it out, hell may have froze over due to the confusion.
