Annoyed with WHITE OAK Armament

I ordered an upper for High Power, at the End of Dec. I was told they had all the parts but they needed to be assembled and would be about 4 weeks.
Well i called them for a status update, last week which was five weeks.
I was told they Didn't have the parts and were waiting on suppliers. i was told another 2-4 if all goes well!

WTF!
Does anyone have a good alternative for quality high Power service rifle uppers?

Same story; Sourcing issue.

At least Bear Creek has an excuse.

That comapny looks solid and their integrated ambi bolt release looks super slick!
If'n I ever have the funds for a PSG-1 eat your heart out AR10 I would definitely give Compass Lake a call.

I ordered from white oak once and it was timely I believe. It was maybe a year or two before the safe act. Ga precision took forever when I ordered a lr-308 upper......FOREVER.

I am their loyal customer. The waiting period you described is less then usual. The quality of what he builds is the best and for most of us well worth the wait. You can also try Compass Lake Engineering, they may or may not be faster. WOA depend on their suppliers, Holliger is very reputable guy in this sport. He will never BS you and tells it like it is, whether you like what he says or not.

Personally I have no problem putting in a long wait for a quality item. What I have a problem with is being strung along being told "next week" 10 times in a row.

My real disappointment is that even then it was a week past the date promised they didn't reach out.

I never have that problem with them. I place an order, if it's just parts it ships right away. If it's a custom barrel, John tells me; I will put you on schedule. That could be 4 weeks or three month, subject to his waiting list and supply of barrel blanks. I expect that so I order in advance. He doesn't charge your credit card until ready to ship and he will not forget about your order. The average wait is about 6 weeks give or take.
