I agree. Both are stupid however I do like the 1911, but really it's just the looks. Over priced and impractical.

Frankly rather than monstrosity novelties like this I'd be more interested in lightweight survival stuff.
Somebidy should come up with a modernised one of these. (Chiappa doesn't count cause its crap)

They should make that 1911 with one barrel chambered in .45 and the other in 9mm. That way you can choose if you want to kill him or not.
How about an overunder with .22 over a russian 23mm shotgun barrel?

I just thought about that Keltec KSG looking shotgun (I forgot the name of it) that has 2 barrels. That would be illegal under the semi auto regulation too.

That's not a bad idea. A hunting piece like a 10mm for deer with a .22 barrel underneath for when you want to take a squirrel or something.
In a survival situation I'm thinking that one day you might need to harvest rabbit for food, the next you might need to take out an armored fighting vehicle.

That's a bit extreme but it's a good idea. Perhaps .308 on top as a primary and a single shot .22 on the bottom?

What, the Chiappa? That thing is actually cool. Multiple barrels work fine for break action guns. There is just to much schtuff going on in autloaders to make stuff like the above anything more than a novelty.

Yea the Chiappa 12ga. with a 18.5 barrel.
The owner of the shop noticed that I was looking at the used side by side double barrel shotguns.
He called me over to the counter, and then he went into his office and came back out with the Chiappa triple.
He showed me that is was unloaded and handed it to me.
At the time the owner didn't put it out on the sales floor yet because he said that he was probably going to keep it for himself.
But he wasn't sure about it yet... IIRC the price for it was a little over $2000.
