Wow black powder rim fire. That would explain the low sale price. I would keep it as a wall hanger.
There should be some place to purchase that ammo might have to pay top dollar for it search the forum'sYes the bolt is indeed rim fire. So there is no ammo I can buy for this correct? Never heard of black powder rim fire before, then again IDK jack chit about old guns. Everything on it works to, looks like these flap things eject shells out the top straight up. Still has the cleaning rod in it. It screws in.

Looks like a good solid design. Sure seems like someone would be making ammo for it. Try s lot of different search combinations, you never know. Cool old gun, I'd shoot it!

There are companies that reload black powder shells, find a few of them and ask if they know of anyone loading that cartridge, seems they would know something like that.

I'm going to ask someone I know maybe he can help or even buy it !Not worth it to me. The rifle is at my house, but it belongs to a friend who asked if I wanted to buy it or sell it. I told him it's not worth much after looking in to it maybe $100.00 and it would better to keep it as a wall hanger.
Damn, I would love to shoot that beautiful old relic.

As has been noted it's a 41 Swiss rimfire. Ammo does not exist BUT it can easily be converted to center fire, cases made from 8mm Lebel and dies are made by Lee. Most will slug ..427-.434 and shoot well with heavy .431 lead bullets. I have mine set up with an EER 3-9 old (good) Burris. Shoots well and kills things too. About the same power as an 8" 44 Magnum revolver.
320 gr bullet, 1250 fps, 50 yards
My rifle:
2016 Antelope 55 paces, one shot DOA.
BTW a 41 with a good bore is an easy $300-500 rifle.
