So the GOA acknowledges that the current status is under dispute and that "the GOA is discussing that with all the parties and will be sorting it out in the coming days and weeks with the courts, and ultimately it is up to the second circuit, so stay tuned for more updates".
I believe the latter point is because if the 2nd circuit really wants to, it can just re-issue the stay pending the lower court decision on the merits.

I don't agree with the assumption that the initial 2nd stay is still in effect. But I'm not a lawyer and, quite frankly, I no longer give a damn.
If eyebrows wants my carry she is welcome to come try to take it herself, and not hide behind her gestapo.
I will protect myself and those I care about. If they want to arrest me...well...I guess I won the lottery. When I'm done I'll be richer than Gates and she, and all of the NY legislature who voted for these un-Constitutional laws, will be behind bars.

Translation: Everything we (2nd Circuit) did after Suddaby is void.
Case returned to jurisdiction of 2nd to be re-litigated in light of Rahimi.
Bottom line: most of CCIA void as per Suddaby's decision. What Suddaby wrote is now operative law (for now).
Stay tuned for 2nd Circuit developments.
Good news also includes that NY State cannot argue that the CCIA is status quo.

A vacated judgment legally voids a previous legal judgment. District Judge Suddaby's decision is in place for now.
Laticia and Kathy, the NYS Po Po and all the DA's, judges and Po Po's in the state can continue to ignore, argue otherwise and enforce the 2nd Circuits stay on the Suddaby District Court decision using the bully pulpit, arrest powers, prosecutorial powers, judicial powers and your tax dollars. It's called color of law: an official action that has either a “mere semblance of legal right”, or the “pretense of right”, or the “appearance of right”, which adjusts and colors the law to the circumstance, whilst the apparently legal action is itself illegal. They practice it a lot and are good at it.

I just signed up for AOR Attorneys On Retainer because NY wants to mandate that gun owners carry mandatory insurance but in the meantime have outlawed gun owner defense insurance in NYS (kicked out the NRA program and prohibits others by law). So AOR is a viable solution for gun owners who are constantly up against the changing tides of legislation, court decisions, the Po Po agencies, local DA's, the AG, etc. Those who carry or own a gun and especially those who EDC, do church security team, etc. should seriously consider this option.
