Need one? Practical use? None.
Fun? It is. But other than that, there is no practical reason for one in my opinion. But then again, many guns don't serve a practical purpose. We buy them just because for collecting, fun, ect.
Even in the military, full auto is discouraged and or not allowed except for the automatic machine gunner who has a full auto only machine gun and his job is to put as much lead downrange possible to suppress the enemy while his rifleman either tactically retreat or advance to and from the enemy.
