Service grade . Late 43 production. I like the rough machine marks of history, but some dumbass got stupid with the acid on the heel and ruined it.

Easy enough to parkerize it yourself. I bought the stuff from Brownells a long time ago and did in my kitchen.

Did you pull the barrel or just dip to the chamber ?

shuffs as mentioned before is the best place to send it. His lead time is insane right now. I ended up taking my M1 to Van Tassels gunsmithing up by Fort Drum to get a new barrel installed. He might do parkerizing, worth a shot.
