Any Support for the Independant Candidate Jo Jorgensen?

I've decided I'm voting Libertarian. I like her stand on many issues including abolishing the ATF. I've written a couple of emails and she supports 2A. Anyone else supporting her? If you're still undecided here's the website Jo Jorgensen for President | Libertarian Candidate

Although different candidates may have policies you or i agree with more , i will be voting for the man who has the best chance against the left and that is Daddy Trump.
This is about defeating the democrats. Voting for someone who doesn't have any chance in the world of winning isn't going to help.

I do understand none of our votes matter NY will most likely stay blue but if , if it flips red it will make a bold statement.
I will never tell anyone how to vote but this is how I feel.

I honestly feel Mike Rowe would be a spectacular President. Voting for him now as a write in vote is as likely to get him elected as your vote for Jo. Worthless.

I'll stick with Trump. Mostly because I truly want him for a second term and also because a vote for an ancillary candidate who isn't Dem, left, or progressive is a wasted vote.

I voted for Gary Johnson last time who was a shit candidate. I voted for Larry Sharpe for governor, whom I think would be great for the state. I'm Libertarian ideologically, but I'm on the conservative side of Libertarianism instead of the champagne-leftist leaning side of Libertarianism. I'm not voting for Jo. I'm voting for Trump. There are things about his administration I don't like, but a wound won't heal until you stop the bleeding. Wasting my vote on Jo won't stop the bleeding. Adding one more vote to Trump to try to ensure he wins the electoral AND popular vote would help. Biden beating Trump would be like hemorrhaging.

Sure, she has a better position on most issues.

But can she fight the left ?

Most aren’t voting for Trump because he is a policy wizard. They are voting for a warrior, and Jo is not Trump.

While it’s normal chances of becoming a swing state are low, it may very well could. NY always wins because there are more people in NYC obviously than upstate.

But if every Upstate person votes who doesn’t normally vote because they see what’s going on in NYC and if a large handful of NYC people that have been affected by Democrat COVID policies vote for Trump because they want their businesses and their way of life to go back to normal, and some NYC people stay home because Biden isn’t polarizing to them like Obama was, it could very well go to Trump.

Your vote counts. It would have counted when Reagan ran. Back then, this state when red when the NYC didn’t come out to vote in force for Mondale.

Your vote also counts for the popular vote. It is included in the final tally. So if Trump this time wins the electoral votes and the popular vote, the left would not have that popular vote talking point to question his legitimacy like they did last election.

That argument of support for the ballot is often made in other threads and I hear it in person all the time. “I’m voting for the libertarian to show my support for them so they can continue to remain on the ballot.” Many people say this.

With your logic there should be absolutely zero reason for you to cast a vote for president at all.

You say you want to raise awareness for the libertarians with a vote for Jo.
You also say the NY vote for Reagan was eons ago and inconsequential in this debate.
You also must be aware enough to truly know your libertarian vote will accomplish less than nothing in changing the two party system.
With this circular logic your presidential vote would be better served sitting home watching Survivor.

Because you are being ridiculously defensive. What matter does it make how long ago it happened here in NY? It happened. Last election Astorino lost by only 500,000 or so votes. He could have won if upstate people came out in force. 500,000 votes is very close.
