I'm considering one of these chambered in 8x57 Mauser. I looked at some in LGS in other calibers and internet-based and wordo of mouth seems to indicate they're very accurate. Anyone have an opinion?
Thanks Prudii I'm not sure if your issues would impact my satisfaction with one.I'm not looking to change magazines, and I really want an 8mm mauser, and I'm really excited by getting something with a smooth action and very accurate
I have a tikka t3x ctr and I like it. Only thing I would like to do is to lighten up the trigger a little. I don't have much time behind the rifle due to a injury last summer. I plan on getting more trigger time behind my ctr this summer as long as I don't hurt myself. Here was my review and first time shooting it.
Tikka t3x range day
All the people I nkow that have them, love them. Well made, good shooters, etc. -- On several other guns forums, many people complain that Tikka has absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE -- if you have a problem, their attitude is - you bought it, - you fix it. -- I only know what I saw there...
Does chicken tikka masala count?
Well yeah - they are in Finland. It's not like driving to Ilion to let a machinist look at your 700 P.
That is a really spiffy rifle! I'd want something like that too! In the same caliber as well. The ranges I shoot at don't require more than a 223.Tikkas are SAKOs w/o the price. I owned 595 Sporters (a target rifle) in 222, 223, 6.5x55, 308 and 9.3x62. Most were snuck in to the USA. Sold all and recently purchased the current version the T3 Target model in 308. It came with this odd short barrel with threads at the end.

Of course with a Tikka or SAKO you don't have to drive anywhere as unlike the Remington junk, you don't need a gunsmith attached to your hip.
Don't think Tikka ever had to pay off millions for a POS trigger that killed people.... now did they ?
I hate how everything has to be covered now days! I wanna see all the mechanical bits of my engines, if it weren't on a KAR 98 or Enfield or Springfield I don't want it!cosmetics. Note that a good old 98 Mauser lacks one but still handles gas very well.
