Yes college student. I was actually looking at the .308 brass. Next gun for me is going to be an AR-10 most likely. Wanted to start sourcing stuff i need for it. Which includes brass.

Please don't leave your brass if no one else will take it will. I didn't want to put that out here because I'm sure someone needs it more than me but I can't stand to see good brass go to waste.

Pod if you really have no plans for that brass I would actually take it off your hands. I just never loaded 5.56 cause im too lazy to pick up my brass after i fire it but ill pick up reloading it. Range doesn't care, the top layer of soil is basically spent brass.
My typical plans include letting someone else at the range pick it up for me. But if there was somone here in need of it I'd gather it up for em.
Preferably somone that otherwise wouldn't havebeasy access to large quatites of brass.

My goal is to have a 5 gallon pail of dirty brass and of decapped & cleaned brass in the common calibers. Until then I'm a brass whore.

I would honestly take any brass i could get. .223 9mm .45 .308. Its kinda hard to me to pick up any brass from my semi autos because like I said, top layer of my range is all spent brass and by the time I go to pick it up its been stepped all over and mixed in with other brass of questionable quality.
If you wet tumble you can bring it back. You would be surprised at what will size out. With that said if your going to play that game you have to make sure you take the time to inspect your brass thoroughly. I like to do it after cleaning I think the cracks and flaws stand out a lot better.

I'd rather not take that chance. alot of the brass on the ground there may have been there for months or more. next time i"m there i"ll show you what I'm dealing with. That's the main reason i only reload for my bolt actions. I started looking into cheaper brass for the purpose of reloading my semi's.

wow, the prices on .223 there can convince me to start loading for it. less than 4 cents a round for a 5 gallon bucket of .223 around 3700 cases.

I pieced together what a bunch of bulk component would add up to, it's about 21 cents a round.
Ya I have yet to buy from them but their prices are great if you OK with buying bulk. I have no clue what shipping will be though.

I've been meaning to get back into making some oilskin (waxed canvas) stuff and throw it up on Etsy. I've waxed a few pouches for friends I know who hunt -- milsurp stuff -- but debating whether it's worth putting it up. It's more time consuming and expensive, when the item isn't waxed to begin with, then it looks actually. Especially if you're buying wax that you're ok with breathing in fumes from indoors (IE, no petro based stuff, I only use natural stuff that's beeswax based.)
Hipsters might love that shit just for stupid reasons, although throwing a classified up here might not be a bad idea...

You can mark your brass with magic marker, makes it easier to pick it up at the range. It's easier to prep your own brass then once-fired, because some steps need to be done only once. So it's less work reloading the brass you already worked on.
