No they can't.

Public housing has already been prohibited from banning guns.

The further they push, the more we will win....eventually.

The Supreme Court has ruled you have the right to self defense in your home. That’s your home and they can’t refuse that right. I’d love for this to get pushed and go to court because I hope they clarify and say any dwelling that your paying for or own is your home. Campers/TV’s, trucks, rental property, Airbnb’s and vacation rentals as well. Watch the liberals heads explode.

How about banning Firearms and Ammunition from being stored in Storage Units ?

Of course the Firearms and Ammo would be stored according to any State Laws.

In my city they claim that the units are periodically patrolled by Police with Gun-Sniffing Canines.

Fireworks are Illegal in Massachusetts, so I have no issue with prohibiting storage of them.

But Gunpowder, Smokeless Powder, etc., should be covered by the 2A.

If you are renting, it is treated as a matter of law that it is your legal residence. You lose no rights when you rent than if you own.

Yes, the landlord has certain rights that allow him to access his property if you are not there (broken water pipe causing damage and the renters are on vacation, for example), but he simply cannot enter your legal residence whenever he wants, cannot just stop by and ask for entry without an appointment (unless the renter is fine with that), etc.

I know this from personal experience and from dealing with landlords when I was younger. Lawyer on retainer absolutely helps if someone has a shithead as a landlord, and I had to resort to that with one particular buffoon. However, most of the ones I dealt with would buckle at the knees as soon as they realized I knew my rights and what the terms of my lease were.

I had a couple cops try to force their way in my rented house once when I was having a dispute with the landlord, who refused to fix things. I brought an action in court against him and got the city involved. Because he could not respect boundaries and even bother to call before coming over, I insisted he not come there without an appointment, which burned his ass bad.

He tried to get the cops to intimidate me and force me to let him in after he came to the apartment without an appointment. Asked if they had a warrant, and they told me they didn't need one since it looked there was a "crime in progress" (refusing to let the guy into his property). I ripped those assholes a new one, called my lawyer as well as city council critter (through whom I filed the complaint about the landlord refusing to maintain the property), and told the cops it was a civil matter and to get the fuck off my lawn. Gave them the name of the judge who cited the landlord too lol.

Made such a stink over the whole thing, the city police captain called and politely asked if he could stop by and talk with me. Offered a sincere apology on behalf of the city and hoped it would resolve the matter by giving the two cops a disciplinary write up. You could tell he didn't want to be there apologizing on behalf of the city, but he was very decent about it having to make the walk of shame.

So no, it would be 100% unlawful to have a landlord to tell a a renter cannot keep any Arms in their legal residence. Open and shut case (with the caveat of ending up dealing with a corrupt judge).

Take bit of hoppes #9 and squirt it under random storage unit doors all over the place.

30 seconds of your time wastes dozens of man hours of theirs.

Eventually they'll find something better to do.

That might be problematic too. The storage of powder was regulated in 1776 in a lot of places . It might survive a challenge under Bruen rules.

Now that would be epic, including vacation rentals, since to me that implies no restrictions across state lines.

I would have an attorney write a preemptive letter of notice to sue for civil rights violations, if they continue this non-sense. The attorney doesn't have to say who hired him but Im sure a letter from an attorney will get their attention.

On top of that? How would they enforce this? Random inspections of apartments?

the Escape Pod IS my home. Doesn't matter where we are parked. Or who's property its parked on. Once the vehicle stops moving, it becomes my home.

I guessing at some point, the authorities will amend these laws, as more and more people go to the nomad lifestyle.

Motor homes have been addressed. The answer is — it depends. If it’s on the road, just parked on a public street but ready to go, it is considered a vehicle. If it’s up on blocks, somehow connected where it’s not ready to be moved, it needs a warrant . But even a vehicle that is parked the entire time would probably need a warrant to search it.

LOL, I can drop the jacks when parked on the side of the road, LOL

seriously, this is probably going to take a court decision, as many people are moving to full time living in a RV. Then again would this apply if you're parked on C.O.E. land ( Corp of Engineers ) or Bureau of Land Management. Both are federal property. You can camp for free or 14 days straight on BLM/COE land. But you must move at least 25 miles from your position IF CAUGHT. AND you must clean up your site as if no one was ever there, But, people are pigs, and leave the garbage laying around, thats when the rangers come along and close down ferderal lands to keep the pigs out

The vehicle exception is based on the notion that the object to be searched can up and leave while they're getting a warrant. That is not a concern with a fixed residence.

So, while vehicle exceptions are bullshit, since an RV is no less portable than a car, I think you'll be SOL.
