I think 5 yds is the minimum distance available at my range.
It wont be closer than 5 yards and it will be less than 100 yards.

Love the participation in this month's challenge! @dsdmmat are we allowed to participate in the same monthly challenge more than once? In other words, can I go back to the range to try to get my score up or is that cheap?

The way I prefer to do it is one entry per person, you can still enter all three distances. It is easier to keep track of that way. If you notice I have never posted a perfect target.
You can always post a target without any information required (no date, gun or ammunition data) for consideration to be entered and say "I tried it this weekend and I will have to do better next weekend, or I am not entering this one." Once you post your target for entry of the xxx yard challenge, it is the one you are stuck with.
I am going to put in the rules, the tie breaker will be entry date and time. That way it will encourage people to post their scores quicker.
Or I think I may have hit a bird as one fell from the sky while I was shooting the challenge.

I'm heading to the Club now! IDPA has all but the 100/200 yard ranges tied up till this afternoon. So I'm gonna give the 100 yard a try with my 77/22 ! Want to get it sighted for 100 anyways as they have add a 22 lr 100 yard class to the F-Class matches!

Great shooting. Your 22 is reall dialed in.
I get 5, 5, 10, 3, 3, 5, 5 top row for 36

For a grand total of 65
The top 10 is really close, could have missed but, it is too hard to tell so, tie goes to the runner.
The 10 points is only for neck label hits. The bottle neck without label counts as a bottle hit 3 points.

So after all the math of the March Target Challenge you are probably ready to have a beer or 3. The next morning you wake up to a sea of international beer bottles in your yard and a headache. You gather them all up and take them to the range (there is no deposit on these bottles). What better way to cure a headache than with the smell of burnt gunpowder and loud noises? Make sure to clean up the broken glass before leaving the range.
Alcohol Abuse Challenge
Rules
Challenge must be completed in the same range session as it was started.
Entries must be shot and posted between 1-30 April.
Print on 8.5x11 sheet of paper (should fill full sheet)
One shot per bottle 15 shots (the NY Guns bottle is your sighter, shoot it as many times as you like).
Bottle hit (no label) - 3 points
Bottle Label hit - 5 points
Bottleneck Label hit - 10 points
Any shot that touches two bottles - minus 10 points
Choice of distance, stance and gun
Pistol 10 yards off hand
Rifle 25 yards off hand
Rifle 100 yards bench
Information required with each entry:
Picture of target with the following information (examples given):
Description of gun ( Remington 783, 38-06, 12-56x56 Simmons super spotter scope)
Distance (100 yards)
Stance or rest used (sandbag front and rear)

My Bad, I missed the neck label rule! I would of shot another target. Well I have this rifle dialed in for the 100 yard rimfire F-Class matches when they start! I'm going to try a get to the Club again today and shoot the 25 yard off-hand rifle. May try the 100 again on a different bench the one yesterday had a slight shake to it ( Not making excuses ) and this rifle does shoot better the more fouled the barrel gets!
My 30-06 is the gun I use for precision work. I am hoping the 6.5 CM will replace it as my precision rifle after I build some loads for it. The factory stuff is good but I think it can do a lot better. It definately had a hill to climb to replace the 30-06.
We hung steel at all yardages yesterday during maintenance day. I am going out there this morning to shoot it.
Ok this was the best of 5 targets I shot today at 25 meters ( I'm giving 7 feet) with my first 22 rifle my Dad gave me when I was 16 over 40 years ago a Marlin 989 m-2 with a 2-7x 32 Centerpoint scope. I was shooting at 4x but turned it down to 2x for my best target of the day. Ammo was CCI-SV also used a sling

bottom row 10 5 5 0 3 5 5 0=33 for a total 71
Not sure if I scored that bottle on the bottom with 2 hits right?
