Disagree.Only "trigger job" worth doing is timney or geisselle.

i sold my 2 stage geissele cause i didn't like the fact that it was 2 stage. it's not for everyone. You should give a 2 stage trigger a try.

Unlike bolt action, you can't have very light triggers in AR's, because of safety and reliability.
Therefore 2-stage is the way to go for 99% of people.
Only "trigger job" worth doing is hiperfire or geisselle.
Hiperfire is over engineered imho. For the $$ ill stick with geisselle.Fixed it for you.....
For 25 bucks it awesome I will stone the part over the winter and see how it goes. I've shot timenys but for the price it worth a try.Only "trigger job" worth doing is timney or geisselle.
The Hiperfire EDT triggers are pretty much the same arrangement as the milspec triggers just with improved engagement surfaces and a few reliability improvements. I find them to be excellent triggers, especially for the $90 cost.Hiperfire is over engineered imho. For the $$ ill stick with geisselle.

Thats more a target trigger though innit? Seems like the 24 would be a little out of place on rifle you put together for me. Guess it showed up at my FFL yesterday. The best hiperfire triggrs are the 24 series.
A revolutionary idea that gives you one of the best triggers available without sacrificing hammer spring weight.
I have been using them from about their inception. I shot more than 20,000 rounds with zero malfunctions.
The only geisselle in their league is their high speed national match........the rest don't even compare. (The SSA-E is not worth the money even at black friday prices. I ran one. I sold it ). I have a HSNM that i just put in a gun. I will run it for a season and see how i like it.

To much complexity in those 24 triggers for me in a defensive gun. Plus I'd want more than a 3lb trigger pull in a defensive gun too. I wanna keep the practical guns simple and idiot proof. When I get around to the SPR build I'd take a 24 into consideration. All comes down to how discriminating you are about your triggers. I do not consider them to be “target”’triggers.
If you want the best groups possible on that build.....i would run a 24-3G.
I run a 24 series in most of my regularly used ARs. If i plan to shoot seriously i use what i consider the best trigger i can get. . I use them for hunting and 3 gun. I use them as a sd trigger. I would use then “on duty”, if i was in that position.
For “toys” and play guns (9mm ar. Selectfire. Ar pistols etc i use regular milspec with the 9mm getting the EDT, only cause I do shoot 9mm in some competitions so a better trigger is nice. If i ever got real serious i may drop in a 24 series. )

I like those Hiperfire 24s, but just looking at all those springs and parts it just appears as if a popped primer or a pebble or grit gets in there and it'd jam up the works. I like that the EDT provides extra clearance at the back to allow for such stuff. You got to use whatever that you’re comfortable with using. ( FWIW, you can add heavier springs to the 24 series trigger systems so they are more than 3 pounds. They come with 3 different spring sets. )
I have over 20,000 rounds on a Timney trigger in my scar 16. I have over 20,000 rounds on the hiperfire trigger I mentioned above.
I have hardly ever used mill spec triggers for any kind of high volume shooting.
So with over 40,000 rounds I’ve never had a problem with either one of those aftermarket trigger systems.
