The jokes about poking you in the chest I’ll ignore and just chalk up to lack of experience. An hour here or there isn’t going to kill you. But when wearing it all day and running around, yeah. You don’t really know until you do wear it all day. That one that is pictured just above this post is the type that I’m talking about.

But again, it’s totally unnecessary especially since you only use that charging handle one time when you charge your weapon after inserting a magazine on a closed bolt. You aren’t using it after each and every reload like you would on a side charger.

It’s a keyboard commando accessory and not something you see on even real Tier 1 Operators weapons and they have the ability to put whatever they want on a weapon to actually use in combat.

The slim profile and smooth lines of a marlin 336 or mossberg 500 bode much better for comfort for hours of hiking in 15,000 acre state forests where no one can hear your scream or is coming to help you if shit goes south.


Everything is a comprise. I see what you are saying, but a mid length latch ambi doesn't poke me too bad.

I guess it makes sense, 75th rangers get their URG-I and look at that charging handle and think man my chest can't handle this thing and instantly swap it for a standard GI handle

So the answer to the question posed by the OP is: yes, lots of people have lots of suggestions but, they mainly have gripes with other people and their suggestions.
