I don't and can't worry about this kind of stuff. I do prepare for it though. We aren't necessarily overdue, but something is coming. I don't know when, could be tomorrow, could be next week, could be years from now. Doesn't matter, just be ready. Have multiple plans in place. Train. Stockpile ammo, food, water, and gas. Have your Bug Out Bag ready. Just be ready!

This is exactly how I try to think. There is a balance, but sitting on my ass watching TV three hours a day is not a constructive use of my time. Survival will 100% be about preparation, ability, and your overall usefulness.

So I'll preface my post by saying I've had some IPAs so take my rambling for what it's worth with a grain of salt if needed. but I can't help but feel like we are over due for something major to go wrong. I don't k ow what it is, and I can't quite put my finger on it but I have a nagging feeling in the pit of my stomach...

The plague (like in Madagascar) wouldn't have nearly as high mortality here. Our sanitary practices are much better. Our medical care is leaps and bounds better. We have the plague in the US. Certain types of prairie dogs carry it (well, the fleas on them do). Antibiotics are very effective against it. There are other things to be more concerned about.

For better or worse I've committed to just riding the market. Im no where near retirement. I've concluded that if I try to sell my funds of it looks like the market is tanking with the intention to buy back in more shares for the same monetary value, I'm more likely to screw up the timing costing myself lots of money, than I am to benefit from it. first off, use a "stop loss" strategy. Place your stop loss at 20% (if you have $100, the stop loss will trigger when your stock hits $80) could save you a LOT of money.

Our next enemy will hit us harder, faster and more viciously than we expect or are prepared for, nature has a way of restoring balance and our earth is over its carrying capacity, we're a gazillion dollars in debt that will never be paid off.. etc..
