only if its a GOVT job with health care .. where i work its 300+ a month and a 3K deductable .. WTF .. so i get to live on 700 a month ... I havent been to a DR in 5 yrs ..

Same here I have insurance through work and still can't afford to go to the Dr.
I never have time to go to the dr. anyway. I think I'm gonna have to soon though, I have an earache thats slowly getting worse.

I don't know that I will survive obamacare honestly. I have not been worried about money one bit in 10 years. Fast forward to last year my insurance plan changed. I got slapped with a $100 surcharge for my wife and another $80 increase in premiums. I went from full coverage to a $500 deductible and pay 20% of everything diagnostic. My co-pays and prescriptions went up. Now my wife's college is losing students so she lost her overloads to the tune of $5,200 per year. My health insurance ended up costing me $6,000 more this year. We got $2,500 in raises. Does not even cover cost of living. If I get hit with another large health insurance increase I think I'll have to sell the house I just bought 2 years ago. Who oils have thought I'd have lost $1,000 per month. Never happened before. I just wonder how many others will loose their houses. I'll make money on my house, but I wanted to stay her for another 20-30 years.
You all need to quit your jobs and go on welfare, they get fantastic, full medical insurance.

I agree with you, but I think it goes further than that. I think the plan or the goal is to break the backs of the resistant middle class conservative and get us to submit to more government control. The plan is to make us so poor through health care and taxes that we beg the government for single payer or government run health care. Then they got us by the balls.

Once you control whether someone's child gets medical treatment, you control the parents.
When they announced Obamacare, I asked people, "why you would want to put the same people that are running the VA in charge of your health care?"
Absolute nightmare here. Have some health issues so not going is not an option here , though I try to keep it to a minimum.
Premiums were up again last yr. as was the deductible.
The Ins co. is also not paying for many scripts or services now, so even after paying through the nose , I still have a substantial out of pocket cost too.

I have nothing against more people becoming insured and accessing the health care system. What I have a problem with is politicians basically saying what's good for me isn't good for them. Explain to me again why members of Congress and their families are all exempt from Obamacare? Explain to me why Nancy Pelosi said "We have to pass the bill to see what's in it!" Explain to me how my medical records are going to be kept secure and private between myself and my healthcare provider because frankly my health is nobody's business except my own and my doctor's. Not the State's. Not the Feds. Not my employer. Not anyone else except me and my doc. Obamacare turns all of that on its head.
And I for one believe the conspiracy theorists are right on this one. Obamacare was meant to implode the whole system and be a failure. That way we immediately move to Single Payer (Socialized) medicine and then the Government really has you by the balls.
My Great-Grandmother went blind waiting on the Canadian Health Care system to get it's shit together and refer her to the proper specialist. This is how things will be here shortly.

If i can recall, but its still a quagmire of info .. but in Austraila "The Australian health care system provides universal access to a comprehensive range of services, largely publicly funded through general taxation." which is a tax on everything you buy goes to healthcare , and they have a bunch of other stuff too like payroll tax .. here in the US we just get our ass raped at payday ..
This should have been done with OCRAPcare .. a tax on everything you buy .. if you want a 10mil dollar home your gunna pay X% to healtch care .. if you dont work . you going to pay that same % on a soda from your foodstamps .. ect ..

Ah, but were a free market economy except when it comes to insurance companies why. Also then where does the regulation stop. I don't trust the government and don't forget the fda is in the pockets of all the drug companies and pesticide companies.
This is the tin foil hat on time.......but, I think its part of their plan to control more power over us. Who is going to protest government, threaten to defend the pork laden budget etc when they are in charge of our families health?
