I love how the picture at the beginning is a guy with a barrett. Pretty sure the "instant death" zone for that rifle is a bit bigger than the one they discuss LOL....
They also miss the fact that it depends on the direction you are firing from. the entire article assumes the target is staring straight at the shooter. If your 90 degrees to the side, aim for the ear, not the nose for instance....
The first gun shot I ever saw on the job was a high forehead hit from a small caliber handgun which did exactly what they mention in that article. It deflected, causing a very minor surface wound only. The guy was out of the hospital before evidenc collection could remove the bullet from the wall.
