My point is, you say things here, quite often that just are not true.

Senators are paid quite differently than a normal job. Easy, really easy internet searches can be done

People bring up points and questions here, not all of them are based in a conspiracy.

due to the house voting of impeachment again the Senate has declared the inaugural ceremonies to be suspended until further notice while we review the charges and evidence for impeachment .. ;) ;) ;) LOL ..

More madness driven by hate. So every time the power structure of the House changes they should decide which former president needs to be impeached, disinter that fetid corpse, plop it down in the capital building and have at it.
The truth is, Trump has done nothing that would warrant impeachment, nothing!
The most vile and wretched person to ever hold the position of Speaker of the House has though, but Nasty Nancy, Like Hitlery won't soon see justice done for her treasonous acts. Looks like hate and darkness have won the day.

If this is the current standard, and it actually passes muster, which is yet to be seen, then, with all my heart, I demand the next time the republicans hold the house, most likely to never happen again, They move to impeach Obama. The first month in office he unilaterally revoked the welfare reform act, a duly voted on, passed by both houses of congress, and signed by a sitting president, law. An absolute and uncontrovertible unconstitutional act. That and countless other illegal and even traitorous deeds performed and provable while in office.

He will loose his private security detail for life, pension and won’t be able to run for office again if the impeachment sticks.

Not really true. Long since changed and some parts never true.

Secret Service protection is not lost.

Even a Senate vote to remove Trump would not prohibit him from running in 2024. A prohibition from seeking a second term in an election would not be determined by this process although the Senate could develop a package and hold a second vote independent of the impeachment determination.

It has been reported that the loss of pension now requires 1) impeachment by the House, 2) a Guilty determination by the Senate, AND 3) removal from office so with the current timeline this may or may not be the case.

The very second the Impeachment vote was determined, an RNC cold call to solicit a donation to the party from Chairwhatever Ronna McDaniel rang on my phone.

Are you freaking kidding me!

After the caller confirmed I was on the phone and I interrupted his script, the stunned caller stuttered ... unable to respond to my tirade and probably had to change his shorts and switch phone ears for the rest of the night.

There is more than enough evidence, even videos of VP Biden abusing the office he held. Impeach is now a viable solution to our new national nightmare as he will not then be legally eligible to serve. Kind makes ya warm all over doesn't it.

If you say so. I happen to think history, the document itself, and the intent of the law is not on your side.

One of the penalties of impeachment is debarment from holding federal office again. If someone could slip that penalty by merely resigning before they could be impeached and convicted, the penalty wouldn't really have much in the way of teeth.

I'd suggest actually reading the Kalt article.

Not necessarily. Even if the Senate convicts Trump even if in time to remove him from office — which is unlikely in itself to get the 2/3 rds vote — they can theoretically allow Trump to run for office again and he could go on with his re-election bid as if nothing happened, as long as he is nominated as the Republican (or another Party's) candidate again. The disbarment to hold future public office would be a different Senate motion, resolution, and vote.

Article One of the United States Constitution, clause 7 lays out they are barred from holding public office again.

The rest of what I mentioned falls under the Former Presidents Act of 1958. From what I understand it wouldn’t be guaranteed that he would loose those perks but Congress may try.
