It's shitty and unenforceable. However, there is nothing stopping you from placing a loaded mag on top of the safe you are to pull a gun from for defense. As bull shit as it is, this can be circumvented rather smartly.

I hate to even say this, but if this is all they do I’m pretty happy with it. I’m sure there will be more and worse coming though.any new guns laws passed are bad.

I hate these extreme risk protection orders. I won’t talk guns now with anyone I don’t know. There are some crazies out there that would say anything to have people stripped of thier gun rights.

The bump stock ban is way too broad as well.

I agree. These laws are clearly not good at all (and the extreme risk protection orders are going to be horrifically abused). I like to think that we're "done" with gun control for this session and they're moving on to other things now and saving stuff for next year to show that they're still "doing something."

I'm most worried about (in no particular order):

1. Mandatory liability insurance
2. Microstamping
3. Universal long gun registry
4. Complete semi-auto ban

I can see this happening down the road.
