Clop, clop clop clop Bang! clop clop clop Amish drive by.
Maybe it will come a time that they'll accept arrest warrants as I'D like they do for lawbreaking illegal immigrants boarding airliners you know like the one's that took down the Twin Towers crashed in a PA field and the Pentagon let's go Brandon"Not in the business of selling" is their vague definition.
I would be curious for more info. Was he buying and then selling a short time later, and how many times did he sell?
Most Amish have issues buying from FFL's, Its kind of a problem when you dont have a photo ID or a identity in a database.
The bad guys are protected.Sad day when the "bad guy" is an Amish diary farmer still shitting in a wooden box and heating his house with wood. Good thing he didn't try to flee ot there'd be a dead horse riddled with hundreds of bullets. Are we really running out of "bad guys" to go after these days?
Even more free than a hammer. If Shall not be infringed were followed, then buying and selling a firearm would be the same as buying or selling a hammer at a tool store.
Just as it was prior to the 1968 Gun Control Act because the thought of black men with guns made Democrats piss in their pants. (With the exception of NY's 1911 Sullivan Act for handguns)
My understanding is the Amish do not approve of handguns because its seen as a weapon not a tool. He may have said that because his beliefs are that handguns are bad and longguns are fineOne thing that strikes me as odd is that he says he wasn’t really selling handguns. That indicates to me he was selling a lot of long guns, but maybe not. For the most part these people are like me and just want to be left alone. I’ve dealt with a few of them and they will out live us if shit hits the fan. They have a lot of land, resources, technology suited for that shit, and a great network. They know how to preserve food and grow food.
Maybe. I’ve never heard that. I just thought it was weird. Also it didn’t say he never sold handguns he made it seem like it was frequently. I forget the wording, but it made me think he sold them occasionally. My understanding is the Amish do not approve of handguns because its seen as a weapon not a tool. Maybe some sects, but I know of a few black powder handguns that are in Amish hands. My understanding is the Amish do not approve of handguns because its seen as a weapon not a tool. He may have said that because his beliefs are that handguns are bad and longguns are fine
Its was the Irish pissing their pants over the Italians. If Shall not be infringed were followed, then buying and selling a firearm would be the same as buying or selling a hammer at a tool store.

I always thought the assassination of JFK was the basis of the GCA, but more likely it was the fear of loosing control...the 60's WERE a time of lots of serious protests, the true bitter clingers of that time are STILL in Congress.
Both assassinations of the Kennedys and MLK were used in the "selling" of the GCA of 1968. They used social media of the day (pop music) and news stories. They (Southern Democrats) weren't about to say that they are paralyzed with fear when it comes to black men wif guns. They were smart enough not to say it then and they would never admit it today. So they blamed "Mail Order" guns and "Saturday Night Specials" while subtly convincing white suburban men that big blackbucks were a coming for their womenfolk with guns. The NRA was not a gun rights organization at that time because gun rights were not under assault until then But Congressmen feared them as a voting block. By crafting the Background Check record retention verbiage, they got the NRA to endorse the GCA Act. How did that work out for us? How did it work out for Black Americans? Its was the Irish pissing their pants over the Italians.
