I would like to add.I have that X-Sight 5-20. It works well, once you figure it out.
1. You are not going to carry this thing for hours. You will not shoot unsupported. You will be using a bipod or etc.
2. You will not be using normal AA batteries for the 1 hour that they last. Use either an external battery, or get some LiPo batteries in an AA form factor.
3. NEVER enable any power-save or sleep features. Ever.
4. NEVER enable any power-save or sleep features. Ever.
5. If you do enable any power-save or sleep features, immediately do a factory reset, and start over, and do not enable any power-save or sleep features.
6. NEVER enable any power-save or sleep features. Ever.
7. NEVER enable any power-save or sleep features. Ever. Got problems? Some idiot probably enabled a power-save or sleep feature.
8. I do not care what the firmware update notes say they fixed. NEVER enable any power-save or sleep features. Ever.
9. Not gonna lie, using an external monitor via HDMI is awesome when looking for yotes.
10. The shot calculator works quite well.
11. The remote control roller-and-keypad thing makes it much more convenient to zoom and use features, but the velcro mount idea isn't that great. Luckily you'll be using a bipod so you'll have a free hand. The remote also lacks an off switch, so you need to pull the battery when storing the remote, and try not lose the battery cover.
12. Their bluetooth range finder works nicely with it as well.
13. That focus knob on the top of the unit will probably require a pipe wrench to turn, until you've twisted it non-stop for the initial 60 hour break-in period.
14. The profile feature is the bomb. Toss this unit onto various rifles with quality pic rails and make profiles for them; you can then move it back and forth between those rifles and just load their profile. If the pic rails are any good, you generally won't need to modify zero.
15. The profile feature is also good for different loads.
16. The profile feature and shot calculator is actually really cool when you throw this onto a pellet rifle, if you know the ballistics of the pellet.
17. Be sure to back up all of your profiles so that if you stupidly enable any of the power-save or sleep features, you can restore them after you've repeatedly brain-wiped the device 10x in a row so it won't lock up anymore.

18. Note that the marks on the various crosshairs have no calibrated value.
I saw a 4K pro a few weeks ago. It's similar to the X-sight II, but lacks a few features. It does have some advantages, though, and has a slightly newer chipset for longer battery life. I'm not sure if it'd require a Sherpa to lug the rifle around like the X-sight II does, which means bashing through the woods for two hours might be reasonable.
Remember that, for night time, you'll be adding an IR flashlight to your rifle as well.
When it comes to optics if you never heard of the company, it's shit.
Could have bought both of those models at half price but passed because of reviews I've read here.
Sounds like more complicated crap than I want to deal with.
Idon’t care about videos or pics.
or so I say now.
I'm not up on thermals. I'm just speaking about the constant stream of 'is this good, is that good" in regards to all the cheap sub $100 no name shit on Amazon I get from from new shooters I know.who hasn’t heard of ATN?
