Ok? I agree with that the election is decided by a statewide vote total. You're taking my reply out of context and extrapolating out things I didn't write.
Actually they don't want us to leave. They WANT us to stay, bow down to their tyranny, and continue to cough up the fruits of our labor for their pleasures.
The ones leaving are the ones who generate the most tax dollars for their coffers. Without us, they are destitute. The remaining population are as ticks on a dog. Once the dog dies of starvation, the ticks must either move to a new host or perish with it.
I'm surprised the bordering States aren't building a wall as fast as NY wants to.

WRONG, in NY we are setup that if we show up we win. There is no ballot harvesting in NY persay. We won the case in court that would have allowed mail in ballots for reason of covid. 40% of US did not care! and we lost by way less then that. So voting would have won the day. BOTTOM LINE too stinking lazy and apathetic people are!

Originally GoPerfect made the point that people all over the state voted for Letitia, which is true even if she didn't win those red areas. You replied basically that very few in the red areas voted for her. I think that is stretching a point beyond it elasticity.
I live in an area that is pretty rural compared to a lot of the state, and votes in this area were usually majority Republican by good margins considering this in NY we're talking about. Now its a whole new dynamic. The towns/villages and the small cities here vote a lot more for godless communists, and most local politics is determined by the retards who call themselves teachers and administrators in the completely failed local school districts. The R advantage even outside of the big cities in NY are much smaller. The commie vote is the future for this shithole state, and that doesn't factor in the election cheats through the political machine that is sending out its tentacles to destroy any last vestige of so-called "conservatism" in this state.
The level of willful ignorance and woketard foolishness has never been worse in the more rural areas of NY I am familiar with, and I have worked over a very large portion of rural NY for decades.
Point being that even though Latetia and the machine don't actually need ANY votes from "fly over country," they are getting a lot more votes there than in years past. A large part of that is the exodus of so many decent people from NY for the obvious reasons.
Now, when you state here "that the election is decided by a statewide vote total" you are technically correct, but as a practical matter you are wrong. Astorino several years ago almost beat FUAC in the Rochester area (Cuomo got it but marginally), but it wouldn't have meant jack anyways as Cuomo crushed Astorino by 15 points. FUAC would still have won even if he'd lost ALL of Rochester. The Demrats made sure to shore up their vote margins in Rochester after that, and the rest is history.
In NY, the "statewide" vote total essentially boils down to the vote totals in NY City, Albany, Rochester, Buffalo, Ithaca, Syracuse, Weschester and Rockland county, and so on.
As the population outside the cities get bluer and bluer (accelerated by the outflow of decent NYers and local education systems that churn out useful idiots), the margins for Demrats are only going to grow larger. Add in that the Republicans in this state are nothing more than cucks who mostly follow along with the agenda Demrats set, and its an utter clusterfark.
Politics is dead in NY, just as I've been saying going all the way back to the old forum.
At one point in time I held out hope that the rest of the state could cobble together some majorities to slow the spread of the plague, and maybe even make some headway against the political machine, but those hopes are long gone.
GoPerfect is right. The rest of the state (beyond the cities) has fallen off a cliff, and the state as a whole is committing cultural and societal suicide.

You're right to point out that we've been hearing the same bullshit for years about how to turn NY around and change the political system.
I was politically aware at a young age, and have followed stuff for many decades.
Nothing in this state is going to change, because a very large swath of the "electorate" are morally bankrupt. The elephant party in this state might as well be the chicken party. Add in the welfare generations. the gimmedats, the large government worker population (or those in industries that contract with government), and so much more, and the conversation becomes nothing but masturbation.
The plain fact of the matter is that the R party here ought to all switch to the Demrat side, because that is what most of them are. The Rs in NY are too busy pandering to the morally bankrupt "electorate" here thinking if they can just push certain issues like the economy or crime, they can win while going along with every godless cultural atrocity the Demonrats push out.
I can name many R politicians who are all in on baby murder, the gaystapo, transfreaks, covid lockdowns, "sensible gun control," acting as nothing more than mouthpieces for special interests and lobbyists, who vote for higher taxes and regulation, and on and on.
The questions on how to fix NY and the solutions offered haven't changed much in at least 30 years.
The days when a Pataki or Guilianni could win and make any kind of difference in NY are done.
The problem with NY is that its filled with NYers.
