I just realized this gun buyback is the same day as the Hamburg gun show.
Go trade in a crappy old gun and take the 500 down to Hamburg and put it towards something more fun.

Personally I'm offended. They never hold these buybacks in the suburban or rural neighborhoods. Rarely in the predominantly white neighborhoods. Total racism.

How is getting "$25 total" for a homemade or 3D gun cost effective?
This is taken off the flyer "The OAG provides money in the form of prepaid gift cards when a gun is received and secured by law enforcement officers on site."
So gift cards it is. I was hoping for cash but 500 visa card is still useful to buy more guns And ammo.

The flyer I read said $25 TOTAL for a printed or homemade gun, whatever that is, so if you bring one printed pistol or 10 you get $25. That's at least how it reads to me. My gas would be more than that.

I just read it again, you very well may be right. All the other categories state per, printed and homemade are total. She is so butt-hurt over dishing out $22K lol
If they're stupid enough to run these programs (using our hard earned tax payer money for political purposes and campaigning) why wouldn't we exploit it and try to benefit. They are using our tax payer money to fund their press releases so they can look productive.

Its my legally owned private property that is clearly documented as being mine. 0.0% chance they are taking it unless I willingly "sell" it to them at a profit of my own choosing. They can't compel you to sell it against your will.
If I'm not mistaken I believe you are selling a pistol in the classifiedd for 200. Sell it to the state no questions asked for 500 (make a profit) and then take the gift card down to the gun show and upgrade.

More likely relevant if the ATF were in charge of the buyback (of course they are not) and the website and flyer didn't say you'll get "$25 total" for anything printed or homemade. I've heard of people printing items and making great $$$$$ but it seems this is different.
The press release on the Attorney Generals website says:
- $25 for non-working, replica, antique, homemade, or 3D printed guns. Anyone bringing homemade or 3D-printed guns will be paid a total of $25, regardless of how many are turned in.
