Even if she was right, I still see no problem with this. The government has no authority to regulate firearms. They seem to enforce a lot of unconstitutional policy around them, but I have yet to see a "law" that has been created -- because none of this crap is lawful. The second amendment is clear precisely because it's vague. If lawmakers dislike it, they can do their job and call a convention.

I think P80's are far more prevalent. No need for carbon fiber, PLA+ does the job. There are tens of thousands of printed pews out there and most reputable designers are very dilligent on thier testing going as far as to do limited beta testing with a minumum round count before being released to the public.
Is it as strong as aluminum or injection molded plastic? No. They are however surprising durable and can withstand many hundreds if not thouands of rounds depending on what it is. The printed part is typically not the bolt/chamber, its the regulated part (AR/glock lower) so if there is a failure its not likely to be something that blows up in your face and gives warning before.

They also cost a few pennies to make, so when they begin to fail, you simply swap it out.

Not quite pennies but certainly sub $10. I am told it does take an hour or two to clean and fit the parts to the print.
