Or if they are regulated to dealing with drugs and guns under one head director maybe they will focus less on guns and more on drugs and gangs tied to guns.
They also have a significantly larger funding and agents than the ATF. What happens when the Dems regain power and turn them against the 2A population.
Its a VERY bad double edged sword.
The level of "stupid" in the WH, IMHO, has not declined since Trump took the oath, at least as far as the 2A goes.

There was a lot of good to that show, but so much bad. I lost count of the number of times they were in a "desperate" situation at the end of one episode, then at the next episode, they remembered that there were only 10 dumb zombies on the other side of a fence and they could just stab them all in the head.

Because you're combining a "Criminal" investigative agency with one that processes Right permission slips. Yeah, the ATF ALSO investigates crimes, I get it... But drugs are different in my opinion!
If splitting it off and isolating it, make it it's own! Make it an information agency, no enforcement, no powers other than doing what it should do. Serve the People to assist them in exercising their 2A Rights!
