Hey all. I'd like some recommendations for a good belt to wear while i carry. So far I am IWB carry at 3-4:00 or canted at 5:00. I've got a leather/kydex holster that I'm still getting used to, and also a very basic carry with a Techna-clip. I'm pretty much a tee-shirt and jeans guy if that helps with selection/recommendations.

I've owned some ok ones, but hands down the best IMO is Beltman. I'm surprised to even see a gunbelt thread go even this far without mentioning them. GREAT belts and just as good customer service.

Belts are custom made, but the quickship option is just fine unless you want something super fancy (can get both double and single stitched from pre-made Bullhide ones). The double stitched dual-layer bullhide gun belt + internal stiffener (make sure you get that) is the gun belt of kings.

I usually wear Carhartt belts. Mostly just because my Carhartt dealer has best in the area prices. (John's in Walden if anyone wants anything Carhartt - best prices I've ever seen)

That being said, I really like the idea of those Hank's belts. Seems like a local made quality piece. I'll have to give them a try.

Check out Kore belts. They offer a few different styles and receive very positive reviews. Use one myself and have been very happy with it.

The TLDR for that article is that the Indian martial art of Kalaripayattu uses essentially a 6' bandsaw blade with a handle as a sword, and they wear it like a belt when it's not in use.

Would probably make a badass gun belt.

Without *a lot* of skill, it's as dangerous to the wielder as the target though.

Look up “Mernickle Custom Holsters. I have a gun belt from them that I have had and wear every day for over 5 years and it hardly shows wear. Give a close look at their holsters. I have 5 of them. Much better than Kydex / plastic.

If you have personal experience with one, that's helpful. Tell me pros/cons/cost/etc. I've been looking at a 5.11 Tactical heavy with D-ring and velcro, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'm not cheap, but I'm not gonna spend a bill on a belt. I'm open to colors except green, I wear mostly...

Sh*t no, too many decisions.. I do like the Hanks Belts, and I like how the Kore has the 1/4” increment adjustments, for those post Taco Tuesday lunches. I’ve looked through them all, and then Something else catches my eye.

I have a Hanks and like it but it is leather and will wear and stretch as time goes on, although mine is holding up well! I just bought a Nexbelt and it's my new favorite !!! EDC Belts

I tried almost all of the new tech belts from Kore, Ares Gear and am back to a thick leather/synthetic mix. I have had a Lenwood Leather belt for 7 years and still looks new. It’s a thick leather with a second layer of conveyor belt material. Cobra, Arres and other buckles are well designed, but it’s just easier to use a standard buckle for EDC. My duty belt is a 3” battle belt with thick riggers belt/cobra buckle, but for EDC the Lenwood or any thick leather is my first Lenwood Leather Hybrid Belt 1.5 Steel Buckle Leather PVC Black 48
