The vast majority don't take these idiots seriously. I believe there are two reasons that there are so many dems still in the mix:
1 - fund raising for dnc - each candidate brings in money from smaller niche audiences. In total dnc cleaning up
2 - allows the dnc to test individual policy differences and demographics to see how they resonate with the base. Candidates are 90% same with a few variations on things like race, gender, age, degree of socialism (ie all the things important to the pc/victim culture of the left). This way they can assemble the Frankenstein's monster candidate with the best likelihood of defeating Trump.

They know what the Constitution is and what it says (basically) they just chose to ignore or twist it into a version that suits their agenda! They KNOW what their doing. I think a lot of them are just there to move the public notion of "the center" way to the left.

During the last debate Beto didn't say anything about a buyback. He said "Hell, yes, we're going to take your AR-15, your AK-47". That sounds like a threat of confiscation, not a buyback. In any case, you cannot buyback something you didn't sell to someone in the first place. The 2nd Amendment was written expressly to protect law abiding American citizens from an over zealous politician like Beto. First they want to take your guns, then they want to limit your free speech, then they will tell you what religion you can practice, what you may eat, what you may drink, what you may smoke, etc., etc. The Democrat's plan is completely opposite to our Declaration of Independance and our Constitution and Bill of Rights. They all need to take a step back and re-read those documents, if they have ever even read them at all.
