Bullshit. During Biden's campaign the Prsidential candidate declared that 10k forgiveness would cost just 400 billion after saving 3 billion in debt administrative costs (Liz Warren screamed bullshit claiming it would cost close to 1 trillion in carrying costs). Neither accounted for inflationary impact.
Only 40 million households / businesses pay federal income tax. If the cost was equally shared among each taxpaying entity 400,000,000,000 ÷40000000 = $10,000.

They didn’t vote on it though did they? I think Biden did it in his own. I think it’s illegal but I doubt the republicans will fight it because it will tank their chances in November, well scratch that they will fight it because they seem to only want to lose.

Under trump there were IIRC two rounds of massive stimulus payments—most received by those still employed. Thousands per family. Additionally, vast federally back unemployment so obscene many were making $50k/year on unemployment. Further, trump’s deficit spending was profligate by any standard. He didn’t give one shit about a balanced budget the second he got the keys.
Trump was a massive overspender. So is Biden, so was Obama, and so was bush. No president has even feigned fiscal responsibility since bill Clinton.
Most voters own this because they have Voted for twenty+ years in support of deficit spending and playing around by the fed.

This pisses me off. Not the way you think. But because the claim here is so dishonest.
Look up how much federal taxes the bed pan changers actually pay.
I personally—I, literally me—pay more in federal taxes than millions of Americans combined. So does anyone here who paid a dollar last year. The tax system is so progressive that you pay negative money if your income is low, and if you have a family of four you pay almost nothing until you hit a hundred grand income anyway. The “elite” that are so loathed are what actually keep the coffers full. 37% is top federal rate. They are paying tens of thousands (or more) a year in federal taxes.
I oppose this forgiveness because it is addressing only a tiny symptom, but it definitely is helping out the lower and middle class, by moving wealth from the upper down.

I worked from the ground up and hit a "you need a higher degree to get the next promotion" step. So I'm doing that.
Before I went back I thought that college was a worthless scheme and those that got a job because of a piece of paper just fell right into the complete scam of higher education.
Now that I finish in December, I can honestly say that, yes, that's exactly the case.

In 2008, 34 Republican Senators and 108 Republican House members voted to approve $700 billion to bail out banks from their "toxic" mortgage investments. These are banks that knowingly made very risky loans to people they knew would likely not be able to pay them back.
In 2022, Biden is forgiving around $300 billion in student loans. That money will go directly into the US economy to pay rent, mortgages, buy food, buy clothes, and other stuff. Republicans however, think bailing out big risk-taking banks is GOOD, but bailing out lower-middle class Americans is BAD.

I have heard recently that they will reconfigure the payment so what might happen os when she applied for public service loan forgiveness her payment went up around $130 I suspect her payment will drop to what it was. Apparently Biden said it isn’t legal himself but this is not the way to win an election. Between this move and the roe v wade I’m worried this will rank the Republicans chances in 22’ election.
