Biden resigns from office just after Hunter's tax trial wraps up and after he issues pardons - nothing stopping him now from reneging.

Harris assumes office giving her just enough time to gain some cred in the seat (and for her running mate) but not enough to screw anything up.

Or harris issues pardons after the election as part of the deal for him to step down.

Either way hunter gets pardoned and everything else gets mem-holed.

There's no way a pardon for hunter doesn't and hasn't factored into joe's decisions.
