Correct, but as I read it several states have a deadline that has already passed on party and independent. NY for instance was in January/May filing date, so I am not sure how this strategy works?Ballotpedia says there is no filling date for President.

Hunter’s tax trial is a California case. He would have to get Gavin to pardon him. They are still waiting for the sentencing in the gun case so he can pardon him.
It's in CA, but I believe it is still a federal trial. Federal charges. POTUS would be the one to pardon him.
A fair question would be if Hunter evaded paying federal taxes, did he not also evade paying CA taxes or any other state he resided in and if so why hasn't he been charged by them?
