Gun is used to commit a crime - give the criminal an appearance ticket and let them go - then go find the legal owner that had his gun stolen and send him to jail for not securing it properly - then go find the FFL that legally sold the gun and fine them into bankruptcy - then go after the manufacturer.

It's worse than that. This is the first step towards becoming england. The authorities are too cowardly to deal with real criminals so they go after law abiding citizens first. Just today, Pres. Biden made clear in a speech at the White House that they will seek a massive budget increase for ATF.

The tyrants plan to target gun stores by revoking the license of FFLs if an unspecified number of guns they sell later end up used in crimes.

Where can I find these limits from day one exactly, because I have never heard of such a thing. AFIK there was no regulation before 1934, 1968 and 1986. And you absolutely could and still own "cannons" as a private citizen. I guess he never heard of the privateers.
