That’s was clearly meant to be a handshake and he was smoking that way for sometime before that. He saw nothing and went to shake hands. I also observed that he looked the wrong way and behind him for sometime. To me it looked like he was very confused and had no clue where to exit the stage. I’m guessing some one in his ear piece giving him directions. He also didn’t wave or hand shake for a long time after exiting the stage. He looked very frail and confused to me.
