This shouldn't have been debated in congress. OSHA shouldn't have anything to do with it. We shouldn't even be having this conversation.
The government has crossed a very serious line with this one. No signed EO(not a law!), OSHA 'rule' suspended and held up in court before it ever went into effect, and companies citing OSHA rule to force vaccination.
My employer included in their announcement "to be able to service government accounts". I was essential while the entire world was dropping dead, and now, I'm too dangerous to employ beyond some arbitrary future date.
I hope every business that enforces this is unable to survive what follows, and I hope the government has finally pissed off at least 3% of the people.

My company has held course. Senior leadership is against the mandates. While they are preparing for the possibility of the mandates being upheld, they are looking at every possible workaround to exclude as many employees as possible. Everything from 100% remote worker to classifying most as "outdoors workers".

And the amendment should, very clearly, require the government to recognize AND protect an individuals rights AND responsibilities to manage their own health.

That's why it is debated in Congress and, if they decide to and have enough votes, they legislate a law. I agree osha was a big overreach on this, rather like the cdc's eviction moratorium. That was also abject bullshit.

I don't think the federal government has any authority in this matter, and with just a simple incoherent statement from a president that can't even articulate the difference between a million and a trillion, something irreversible has been set into motion that will lead to unimaginable suffering on a global scale.

The fun part in all this, is we go into places daily that require all their own employees to get the jab. We are and have been exposed and public facing through all this nonsense, and we have been just fine. We are a walking proof of the survivability ratio of 99.5% or better.
