I just received the exemption request form from my employer. Long story. I’m going for it anyway. Even though our president essentially said, since no major religious organization supports not getting the vaccine, good luck.

That's why when you fill it out you be as vague as humanly possible. The only thing that you should discuss in detail is how to make accommodations to minimize undue hardship to your company. Quite frankly, everything else is none of their damn business.
ETA: Make sure they understand that it's NOT a request. You are INVOKING a right.

I was actually thinking of approaching it as not an objection to the vax itself, but as an objection to sharing personal medical data with the company.
that you have to profess belief in some invisible sky fairy to exercise a Right is ludicrous!
that they get to "fact check" your belief is absolute insanity.
Except the company already has access to your personal medical data, as well as just about everything that identifies you.

I had to cancel a trip recently due to some higher priorities here. Company policy is currently no business air travel without vaccination. I don't think I will be fired yet for lack of being vaccinated, but I think I could have been fired if I couldn't perform my job duties because I couldn't fly. I had to drive the last trip, but unless someone knows differently, driving to SE Asia doesn't seem to be an option yet.

Well the pressure is back on at work.
I don't know what to do. Do I try exemption, or do I hope this gets sorted out in the courts before Jan 4th.

Well if you don't see a major issue with that than you are beyond helping. They are boxing people in a corner. This is illegal beyond anyone's imagination. I have said it for over a year now. You will have to fight for your Freedom. Sacrifices will have to be made. No way these polices won't bring this Country to it's knees soon if not reversed. The Country needs a serious enema from the top down in all sectors.

Put the paperwork in. And DON'T QUIT. Whatever happens after that is going to happen no matter what. With the paperwork you at least have grounds for legal action later.

There is a SCOTUS, that states this. Matter of fact it also states that it includes moral or ethical beliefs.
Watch this if you want to do the exemption route. This legal counsel has fought numerous times with the Supreme Court.

I've been watching this stuff and it's been quite interesting. Thought I'd share this with the group.
It appears as if on the 11/16/21 there will be some kind of lottery.
I respect people's constitutional rights, there should be no vaccine mandates, and I hope that they get this worked out in such a manner.
I'm hoping that I don't need to get some kind of medical exemption to go to work... it would mentally make me feel like I have a handicap or something. Doesn't make me feel so good, but I don't feel like playing test tube with my body.

It's even worse where I work.
Nothing is documented, things only function because of tribal knowledge.
We have lost people in the past and now there are just black holes where nobody knows how or why something was built.
When we need to figure that out it's a major undertaking to reverse engineer it.
A couple years ago they were turning down some equipment, and they migrated all the functions they knew about off of it. But it was still processing *some* stuff.
They just resigned themselves to "I guess we just turn it off and see who complains.
