The Biden administration has finalized the largest expansion of gun-sales background checks since the advent of the federal check system in the 1990s, moving to close the “gun show loophole” and online sales that have avoided checks in the past.

The new rule being announced Thursday expands the definition of who is considered a firearms dealer and says every dealer must conduct a background check regardless of the sale venue. That means sales at gun shows or conducted over the internet must now be included.


It is not a universal background check, meaning some transactions such as gifts or occasional sales are still exempt. But administration officials said they expect the rule will cover tens of thousands of sales each year that currently escape background checks.

This includes people who sell on GB............ buying and selling, even going thru FFL's...........NICS are done, but "profit" is being made.......... without being an FFL.

Trying to prevent face-to-face transfers by us plebs by claiming we are "in the business of selling guns" just for selling off a single gun we no longer use.
By claiming we have to have a background check it would mean we either have to go to a true FFL, which would ultimately help the .gov populate their database on that gun, or become FFLs ourselves which would REALLY populate their database.

It's a defacto registration scheme to give them more information for when they try to come and take them.

Acronym Agency "Rules" are not LAW.

Let alone rules that inhibit, interfere or create hurdles in regard to exercising a Right.

Please post source reference to the law providing this new Requirement.

Bruen basically says otherwise as free transfer of firearms absent this process has been the norm in a majority of States since our founding... Historically speaking, the new Originalist Doctrine requires this be exhibited for it to be considered Constitutional!

Anyways, I'd love to see the LAW breaking this down or even giving this acronym agency this power.
