I'd love to see the Ukranian's kick Putins army all the way back to Moskow, and then some. But I take the mummy's visit as a thumb in the face of Americans too considering what's going on at our own border, along the administrations systematic and seemingly intentional dismantling of our own country. I'm not a fan of his handling the southern US border at all. That being said, I think it is fair to separate that from this. In this case I really like the message it sends to Putin and their Federal Assembly.

If they really wanted to they could lay out in the press a schedule for additional aid. The tactical disadvantage of disclosing that information would be massively outweighed by the "if you think it's bad now, it's just going to keep getting worse" message.

Hell, lay out the next 5 years of aid in advance just to drive home how painful this will be for the Russians.

There is absolutely nothing that says you need to stick to that schedule anyway.
