My wife has shot the 12ga, AR and .22lr. I have to say she is a really good shot too.
Congrats, my wife got her PP about 4 years ago. She didn't really want it but I told her if something happens to me they are going to show up looking for my handguns and if she co registers with me she can just keep them. I think she may have fired my 22 pistol about 10 times since and no desire for anymore.
Does PP = CCW?
My wife received her permit with administrative restrictions (sportsman), but she can legally handle and shoot my handguns now.
Awesome. That's not in my county. They want you to have an NRA instruction call now before applying for your CCW. She has done nothing yet. I will ask her this fall when it cools down.Depending on your county, I have good news for you. Some counties (including mine) did away with the CCW with restrictions. So in the case of Herkimer County (and some others as reported by members on this forum), you go straight to unrestricted CCW. I assume you just have to call your county sheriff department and inquire.
The safe act has nothing to do with class III in NYS. Class III was illegal before the safe and will be if ever after the safe. You have to be a god to have a class III in NYS. 10 round mags will still be the limit as they were before as well. I wish, but your dreaming. I like where your dreams headed, but it's not reality.Does PP = CCW? My wife didn't bother with the NY CCW because it takes years to develop friendships with the right folks that will say they have known you for 3 years (and one for 10 years). I went through all the rigamarole to get it done, but she is fine with just having access to AK's, AR's, lever actions, shotguns, etc. If you cannot stop a home intrusion with an AK-47 and 10 or so magazines of FMJ, you are doing it wrong. What thug will survive an onslaught of a few hundred rounds of USSR 30 cal? Of course if this stupid SAFE Act gets repealed and we can have our Class III in NY, the first thing I would do is bring up the side plate for my 1919A4 and set up the belt fed 30 cal in my center room like I had it in GA. You start running belts of 30 cal at 700 RPM and you can pretty much guarantee the bad guys will be ended quickly and without much fanfare.

I thought you were getting a threesome
I'll bet. Get a class III BB gun. Cheaper and fun too. I bought my son an m4 BB gun that has selective fire and it's a blast. That's a shame. Honestly with ammo prices being what they are; I doubt I would shoot Class III a lot like I did when I lived in GA. The 1919A4 would cost about $1K per minute to shoot. But every now and then Class III can be fun.
