Been looking at Boyd's for my Axis XP as well. Definitely looking for a better feel out of the stock, a little more solid feel. Otherwise, I like it.

"Activated" my buddy's .308 and the .223 I bought. I think I'm gonna give the .223 to my son for Xmas. Reality is, if I want to shoot it, I just take it. That said, I wasn't getting anything out of this special offer soooooooo.....I order an Axis II in 6.5 Creedmore. After rebate this will end up costing me $ 288.00 + transfer fee. I'm starting to amass a pile of rifles I haven't had time to even shoot yet. I think I need some sort of 12 step program here. I may need to start storing my stuff in the safe completely disassembled to get the door to close. I'm also seriously thinking of getting into reloading. I'm going to need a separate cabinet just to house all the dies for all the different calibers I have now. 
This is the one I really wanted but sold out too fast and I was told it was a special order item with the camo pattern and heavy barrel. Didn't wait to see if they ever ordered more.

My medication seems to be working so I havent bought anything in a while. Still monkeying with some things I put on the back burner so I dug this out of the safe. I honestly don't remember buying this so I don't think it was part of the end of year rebate deal they ran. Did my .243 in the desert camo style and went northwestern woodland on this one. Think it came out OK. Like it better than the stock black. Thoughts?
