These military style rifles came about at the time Geo Bush decided to lift the ban on them. Well since then I can't order ammo online, I'm being asked by doctors if I own firearms, and all kinds of laws on the horizon that will effect me and millions like me who want to just hunt deer and turkey just because of wingnuts who insist people should just be able to walk into any store and buy an AR or AK with as many 30 round mags as you can fit in your pockets. When people's kids are being murdered in schools the crap is going to hit the fan and more and more states are getting tougher and tougher on guns. It's because the NRA and a percentage of gun owners have this hair brained idea that they need these guns to go up against the government that we are under attack by the general public. My father, grand father and great grandfather have had the right to keep guns, put food on the table, protect their homes and livestock and now because of these freedom parroting black gun nuts we're all losing our freedoms. I'm no longer a member of the right wing wacko NRA and think there is no need for these guns in our society. Too bad the rich hunting and firearm tradition we've enjoyed for century's has gotten totally turned upside down by a bunch of wackos who wanna do magazine dumps and play army man in just two quick decades..

The "ban" had a sunset provision built in. It simply expired, much like the milk in your refrigerator and the sense in your head. Only since that dipshit Cuomo enacted NYSAFE has there been any issue ordering ammunition online, so that arguement doesn't fly either.

Clinton banned “assault weapons” however the ban had a sunset provision so the RINOs had an out to vote for it. Bush 43 would have signed an AWB if congress had put it on his desk.
