At least we can appreciate their honesty. BLM has nothing to do with black lives and all to do with "black power". They do not want equity, but vengeance. I still see BLM signs on white people's homes even though BLM actually hate those people; they see them as useful idiots, which they are.

Not in the least surprised by this and frankly, I would not be surprised if there comes a time when some group (thinking Southern Poverty Law Center but maybe another) declares the US flag a hate symbol. They started the precedent when we've all but banned the Confederate Flag. In fact we just had a big conversation at work the over day about "hate symbols" and we are now required to turn away anyone who is wearing any clothing that has a Confederate Flag on it. For the record, I could see how some would see the Confederate Flag as a symbol of hate and others could see it as regional pride and they BOTH would be right. Doesn't mean it should be banned.

Back to the original point, we're creating a narrative in this country where everything about our history, founding, institutions, and traditions is racist, misogynist, bigoted, and generally hateful. The brainwashing is seeping down from higher academia to K-12 and beyond. It won't be long before it's illegal to fly a US flag anywhere except private property. As others above have said, fuck them. I think we're all getting a little close to the end of the rope as it is and while I may play the game at work (at least for a while longer) out during my "normal" life I won't suffer fools or communists. When I'm on my bench I have a US flag lapel pin that they can pry off of my cold body as far as I'm concerned.

If and when US flags are generally deemed a "hate" symbol then there's nothing stopping any of us from proudly displaying the Gadsden, Appeal to Heaven, or any other number patriotic and historical flags or even the one @libertysnake designed.

As Benjamin Franklin said, "We must all hang together, or else we all will hang separately."

They won't ban the USA flag (requires cessation of 1st amendment to do that). But I can definitely see it being "controversial" or "inflammatory", so we are certainly going to see some now afraid to do so. "Symbol of hate", "Built on slavery", etc.

All I can say is this stuff is pushing people too far. I didn’t have the time to get into it with my wife but she is very supportive of this crap and white privileged. I’m not saying she supports the flag being labeled a hate symbol but she supports POC advancement strategies. It’s actually the only thing we fight about ever!! She told me yesterday a lot of this is taking things too far. She was in a meeting/seminar and apparently they went off the deep end. I do t know the details. She has made initiatives to hire minorities and it has failed. They failed to do what they were supposed to in order to be hired. Now she was accused of some stuff that involves racist claims. It’s hilarious because she has bought into this and given seminars on this stuff just to have it thrown in her face.

I think everyone has their awakening. When you see first hand a person wield their race in ways a white person wouldn't (because they can't) to attempt to gain leverage or undermine another person at work it's impossible not to learn from it. They say white people are privileged and in certain ways they are. But in certain ways they are not; HR departments in 2021 know full well they have to be particularly careful dealing with minorities, lest there is even so much as an illegitimate hint of race behind a decision. If you're a black person in a decent position of leadership in a fairly large company (i.e. those with diversity departments and pride-flags for their corporate logos) you have tremendous leverage that a white person lacks. The burden of proof to fire you is massively higher than a white person's.

The demonizing of the most basic and core symbols (US Flag, National Anthem, Pledge, Founders, etc.) is the first major sign of the end of our Republic. Our Country has it's flaws and sins no doubt, but the loss of pride in her and the intractable calls for dismantling the core tenets that are the brick and mortar that hold us together as a people, signal out downfall and destruction of our nation. I fear we have passed the rubicon and there will be no return. A question was posed in a novel I once read, the question was asked "what are the signs of a society in decline?". The answers were several,but the one that stood out to me was "The loss of every day niceties and courtesy in the little things" These have been gone for so long amongst the many that one can hardly remember them. Having traveled widely globally I also added another one which is the lack of pride and upkeep of public spaces and infrastructure. The upkeep has been in decline for years and now these places are crumbling into ruin. Now is the assault on the symbols of national pride. As this latest trend progresses the decline will gain speed like a boat with shifted cargo listing ever more rapidly as it takes on more water until capsize, speeding us to the end.
