Don't think guy at trailer even had a weapon or even fired round but that cop in field is in wrong professionOkay is this what happened:
Three guys are arresting a woman.
A guy by the trailer opens fire.
The two guys continue to arrest her (no idea why)
The guy who had the bodycam puts some shots out then runs into the field
The guy who had the bodycam then comes back, while screaming at the gunman from a distance at which his pistol is worthless
The guy with the bodycam has a shit-crazy panic attack
Another cop takes his gun from him
That other cop then for some reason unknown gives the gun back to the cop who clearly should never, ever, ever be in the field again
Did I miss anything?
I wondered that, too. That would explain why the other two cops stayed around and continued to arrest her.Don't think guy at trailer even had a weapon or even fired round but that cop in field is in wrong profession

Causing a panic attack is an assault charge? WTF.Sevier deputy in panic-attack case forced to resign from prior law enforcement job
A Sevier County Sheriff's Office deputy who opened fire without warning and later suffered a panic attack was forced to resign from a former cop job.www.knoxnews.com
This guy was and probably still is fucked up
Causing a panic attack is an assault charge? WTF.
What exactly causes a panic attack anyway? Is it adrenaline overload?
Right. I read a little about it and it seems it can be caused by just about anything or nothing at all. I was more interested in the actual science of it and the chemical reactions going on. Seems like the actual cause is still unknown. I gotta think with the symptoms it's adrenaline related though.Depends on the person and the situation.
I have seen mass panic attacks during motor attacks, firefights and the such.
I watched a fireman years ago go into a panic picking up a severed leg from a motorcycle accident

Yeah. I wouldn't want to be the guy in front of that barrel while he's unstable and pointing it in all directions. The scary part was him standing behind the emt guys and lowering his gun to basically point it at them. He definitely chose the wrong profession. I do feel for the guy though. Like you said he probably still fucked up over that.
Unmanaged stress is usually the biggest cause, although in his case I'm sure adrenaline had a major play in this circumstance. He likely had underlying anxiety issues before this and this event allowed the panic attack to manifest.Right.
