How many military & LEO are there.

No mass confiscation.

Even if they all obey, they would be outnumbered 5 to 1.
I served 8 years active, mostly combat and most favored our side.
They were offering their lives for the freedoms so many others have fought and died for.
The constitution and the BOR are pretty big deals to most combat soldiers in my experience.
Like I said before, im not talking about a little thing here, im talking about an all out ban on all firearms. Where police are kicking in doors and searching. If it comes to this it means other facets of government will have already broken down.
Non gun owners will be realizing the end of our constitutional republic is nearing.
If they come for every 22 rifle and Civil War era collectible many Americans will realize their freedom of religion, due process and freedom of speech could be next.
In order to execute these confiscations the government will have to allow illegal searches and seizures. Others will see the slipperyness of the slope, I have some faith in regular Americans.

I get what you are saying. Yes. Not all will. I'm just saying that it happened already and it could happen again if some major catastrophe happens and someone like Hillary is in charge when those things happen. IE total grid failure, martial law, riots, killing, starving, ect.

If it ever comes to that, many won't obey such an order. Some will to fill their bellies and keep getting them filled.

THE TROUBLE WITH all of this is that America is not Australia.

The Australian gun lobby, moreover, is not as powerful or well-financed as the National Rifle Association. And the Aussies don’t have a constitutionally protected right to bear arms.

First, I agree, America is NOT Australia nor will we ever be them. In more ways than one. What they do to their people can never work here in the States.

In Australia, they also diminish Public Speech. It is, at times, unlawful to speak certain speech and certain words in their cities.

I will talk a bit about the NRA and the "Power" they have here in the United States. It is not as powerful as the Liberals make them out. If they were so powerful, we would have near zero laws against guns.

What we do have; we have MANY elected Officials that actually honor and respect the Constitution and our Bill of Rights. You may not believe that, but some are super Pro-Constitution.

The citizens of the United States are unlike citizens of many other nations. We always have been and we will always be different. We will NOT allow them to take away all guns. Ever! Picture this scenario. The grid goes down. No electricity leading to no fuel leading to no food deliveries, which lead to starving, which lead to riots, murder, looting, neighbors turning on one another for a meal, ect.

Martial law is declared. For the greater good, you are ordered to turn them in. Rewards are given out for those who turn them in.

People would get them from you just to get a case of MRE's. Gangs of thugs would go door to door for them and turn you in if taken alive.

Remember, there will be no CNN or Fox to cover these atrocities.

They won't co,e for them all at once

They will start with semi auto with detachable mags

Then it will be handguns

Then it will be bolt action rifles and shotguns

If it makes it this far they will then take .22s and muzzle loaders

Etc..

They will do it incrementally specifically to avoid the scenario you have laid out because they know the reaction it will trigger.

What will happen is each time they incrementally take away a class of gun they will spew their propoganda that they arent taking everyone's guns but only specific types that are too dangerous for the public to have. But not to worry there are plenty of other guns you can have. And anyone who shows public outrage will be relentlessly harrassed and mocked as a crazy fanataic or extremists. They will control the narrative and I'm sure they will make public examples of a few early people who are caught not in compliance

They want us to be a frog in a pot of slowly warming water. They don't want us to react to the loss of freedom and gradual erosion of rights but just continually adapt and move forward ever closer to their goal of disarmament.

Of course, thats how they work.
Im just talking about an all at once complete and instant repeal of the 2nd amendment.
Its not going to happen, a just "what if".

As things stand today, it might be hard to imagine that ever happening. However, history teaches us a different lesson. Shit happens.shit that we can't possibly see coming. 911 for example. Nobody saw that coming and the changes it brought.

The German people, we're saved from cruel depression and everybody was making money again. Everybody was happy, and thankfully that the dark days of depression were over, they had no idea of the fate that was coming.

Japan was at the top of her game, her people had no clue of the fate that was in store for them.

A police officer who has been on the job 18 years without ever once being shot at would be fooling himself if he thought the rest of his career will be the same. When the former has no bearing on the latter. It makes no difference, he could be shot later that day.

It's called normalacy bias.it never happened here before so it probably never will. I remember watching the 84 winter Olympics on Sarevo, admiring the city, and what a nice place it was. Ten years later and it was a living nightmare.

You don't have to worry about the sky falling, but have a plan, just in case. Nobody thinks they are going to be a victim of a house invasion either, it comes out of the blue without warning
