The summary at the beginning of this case is dead wrong. It states that NY forbids carry of a handgun outside the home without a license. Its way worse than that, it forbids purchase or even possession without a license. And further forbids possession WITH a license if that particular handgun is not listed on your license.

Without a pistol permit in NYS, you can’t even TOUCH a pistol in a gun shop……..you literally need to purchase the pistol without touching it and afterwards, gain your permit

I want to see red states cite gun control rulings to justify restrictions on abortion.

I want to see their legislatures write abortion control laws modeled after the gun control laws to facilitate this.
