I just watched videos on 4 different gun channels, and all had a lead-in ad except for 8541 Tactical. When is this supposed to go into effect?
Not really, there is already Full 30 but it just does not have, nor will it likely ever will have, the viewership that youtube does. It is important to for our community, along with all so-called "extremist" comunities to maintain a presense on the dominant video service which is youtube. If we retreat behind the walls we will just be preaching to the choir, we will become invisible, and we will not be represented. We will become an untouchable class, indeed we are becoming an untouchable class. Look I have always been suspect of this patreon thing but seeing as how it is thr only way for me to fight this right now I have picked out a few of my favourite gun and "extremist" channels and am sending them just a little. a dollar a month to few places will not break me. We have to do something!

Well in my "2 cents is 2 cents too much" opinion, I dont really care for the big gun channel. Demo Ranch is really the only one. I prefer smaller channels that do it for fun.. not livelihood. And thats what youtube becomes for most. Not for fun, but to pay bills. So, they will send opinions and principles down the river so they wont have to find a job. Sellouts.
Not all of them do. Forgotton weapons/InRange TV is one example of a channel that does not schill or sell for anything. Money pays for a higher quantity and quality of content. Amateur vids taken on a shaky, low res cell phone cam are not particularly entertaining.

YouTube is a Google Liberal Progressive entity. YouTube has also "demonitized" several Conservative channels while maintaining some brash, poorly-produced, moronic Liberal channels in full ad-generating form.
Hopefully, there are some American Conservatives or Libertarians with the money and technical savvy to found a competing video streaming service.

It's a lot of work to produce quality content, not just shooting it but editing and post production. These guys have quit their day jobs and found a niche to make money doing something the love. They put time effort and money into the videos and should be paid for it.

YouTube will not put ads in front of videos until the channel has 10,000 views. After which they can join the 'Partner Program', which reviews the content against their "policies". Could they still choose not to monetize the channel? Sure, but with a lot of big names getting millions of views they'd be stupid to do that.
Full30.com is decent, but still new. I never comment on YouTube and rarely do on Full30.

Theres plenty, more than not, that dont use that. Im not talking about 30 second clips.
Not what Im saying. I wont name anyone specific, but theres more than one that clearly gets paid to do somethingthat they genuinely dont like. Im jealous that I cant get paid to do that...well enough for main income.

The sad thing is that in spite of all we know about how lousy the media is, the so-called smart money doesn't invest in media - news and entertainment - for half of the country that would appreciate it and be loyal listeners and watchers. It seems like the biggest missed opportunity ever.
Look we have Fox News, which is mostly NeoCon and not very well done. Breitbart, which is moderating and becoming more cucked daily. And... alternatives like crazy Alex Jones and small potato home-brew operations. Yet whenever there is a G-rated movie with a Christian theme, it does very well at the box office. And half the country voted for Trump and leans conservative.
If I were a billionaire - or had a group of friends who had millions to invest - I'd start a conservative entertainment company and help move the culture rightward. That's how we affect true reform and change, you have to sway opinion and ideas just like the Left did 50-60 years ago.
